INFORMATION FOR RETURNING REPORTERS

Copy Forward

  • Use copy forward if you are reporting on an award from the previous reporting cycle and changing the Award Number, DUNS number or Order number.  If you do not Copy Forward and link reports, the progress of the award will not be tracked, and the two reports can appear as duplicates when the data is displayed on Recovery.gov (See Chapter 10 of the User Guide on FederalReporting.gov).

Linking Reports

  • To link a report in the current reporting cycle to one in the April, 2010 reporting cycle, read Chapter 10 of the User Guide at FederalReporting.gov.
  • If you submitted a report in the current reporting cycle and find that you should have linked the report to one filed in the previous reporting cycle, you do so. See "How to Link Reports," Chapter 10 of the User Guide, FederalReporting.gov.

Marking a Report "Final"

  • If you mark your report as  "Final,"  it means that all work is completed and that you will not be reporting again.

New Alerts on FederalReporting.gov

  • Online Copy Forward --   If you are reporting online and creating and submitting a new report, FederalReporting.gov will compare the new report’s Award Number and DUNS number against any reports you submitted in the previous quarter.    If a match is found, you will receive a notification recommending that you Copy Forward to link the two reports.
  • Batch Submissions and Uploads – If you attempt to submit a new report with an Award Number and/or DUNS number similar to a report submitted in the previous quarter, you may receive an alert recommending that you link the reports.

For details on the Alerts, see Chapter 10 of the User Guide on FederalReporting.gov.
