WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Representative Nick J. Rahall, II (D-W.Va.) today announced the release of $968,230 from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) for the Department of Justice (DOJ) Office of Justice Programs’ 2009 Crime Victims Fund in West Virginia. "Organizations that will receive funding through these programs provide vital services to victims of crime in southern West Virginia and across our Nation,” said Rahall. “These grants help ensure that victims of crime in our communities have access to services like crisis intervention, counseling, emergency shelter, criminal justice advocacy, and emergency transportation."
