RI Office of Energy Resources Distributes $250,000 in Recovery Funds for Training Program
​Governor Donald L. Carcieri and the Rhode Island Office of Energy Resources (OER) has awarded the State Building Commissioner a $250,000 contract to develop new energy efficient building codes mandated under the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). The funds will be used for training local building officials and building contractors in the new codes, as well as for monitoring, enforcing and reporting compliance with codes according to ARRA requirements.
