ARRA funded project employs conservation workers in Douglas County
American Recovery and Reinvestment crews teamed with Carson Water Subconservancy District and the Washoe Tribe of California and Nevada to reclaim hay fields on a Washoe ranch which had not been in production for seven years. The Ranch Boss, Brett Reed hopes to produce Certified Weed Free hay on the reclaimed fields.
