Large Scale Solar Energy Project Approved on Public Lands in Nevada

​Amargosa Farm Road Solar Facility in Southern Nevada

Secretary Ken Salazar of the U. S. Department of the Interior today announced the approval of a new 500-megawatt facility that will provide electricity to about 150,000 homes in southern Nevada. The project developers are eligible for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act incentives under the Investment Tax credit section of the Act.
