Grass Valley – Caltrans broke ground today on a $29 million project that will improve safety along a busy section of State Highway 49 near Grass Valley. The project’s funding includes $6.2 million from Proposition 1B, the 2006 voter-approved transportation bond, and $2 million from the American Recovery Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act).
