What the Dots Represent
The dots represent Recovery awards to provide job training to the unemployed and at-risk youths between ages 16 and 24. The data is from the reports submitted quarterly by recipients of the awards.
The Map Colors
The colors of the map indicate the rate of unemployment in a region as reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The deeper the color, the higher the unemployment.
