All data in the Recipient Reported Data section, as well as the data on the blue maps, comes directly from recipients' reports submitted to FederalReporting.gov--the government website created to collect all the recipient data. Recovery.gov has not changed or corrected the reported data.
Recipients of federal contracts, grants, and loans awarded under the Recovery Act reported:
- the total amount of Recovery funds they received between February 17, 2009 and
September 30, 2009
- the total amount of funds they expended
- a description of the project and its location,
- and the number of jobs created or saved.
The official reporting period of October 1 to October 10 was extended to October 20 (those reports were tagged as late). As of October 20, 2009, prime and sub-recipients submitted
a total of 130,362 reports: 13,080 reports on federal contracts, 116,675 on grants, and 607
on loans.
Recipients reported that Recovery projects created or saved a total of 640,329 jobs: 30,908 by federal contracts, 607,919 by grants, and 1,503 by loans.
Between October 11 and October 29, recipients and federal agencies had the opportunity to review the data; however, only the recipients made changes to their reports.
The next reporting period begins January 1, 2010.
