The purpose of Title I funding is to improve teaching and learning for students most at risk of failing to meet State academic achievement standards. Federal funding under Title I provides funds for districts to implement supplemental instructional programs and support to eligible students in eligible schools who are most at-risk of not meeting academic standards. ARRA provides significant additional funding for Title I which can be used for additional programs, materials and supplies to support and/or expand existing Title I programs and services.
