American Recovery and Reinvestment Act -Sustainable Broadband Adoption- "Getting Illinois Low Income Seniors and People with Disabilities Online." Program will equip the populations of 23 low income senior housing buildings in Northern Illinois, provide innovative computer / broadband training to residents and surrounding communities and create over 2,900 new broadband subscribers, thus demonstrating effective broadband adoption strategies for affordable housing across America. Program will create 30.25 Full Time Equivalent jobs each year for two years.

This was the final quarter of the program in which the recipient equipped the populations of 23 low income senior housing buildings and their surrounding communities in Northern Illinois and provide innovative computer / broadband training. In this quarter, the recipient retained 10.25 full time staff and maintained program volunteers to enable sustainability for the program once the grant ends. In total, over 5,500 buildings residents and members of surrounding neighborhoods have participated the Connected Living training program. 1517 residents have completed classes and passed their assessments. 2699 members of surrounding neighborhoods have completed classes and passed their assessments as well.Due to our awareness campaign over 996,614 have heard about the program and or training. The program has over 63 Outreach and collaborator locations for Training Neighborhood Residents. |

In this quarter, the project has retained Community Program Managers( 5.0 FTE's). CPM's are assigned to a program building and responsible for generating program awareness, enrolling building residents in the training program, conducting training activities and reporting on building metrics. During the quarter the program has maintained a total 5.25 (FTE's)BTOP leadership management for a total of 10.25 FTE's for this quarter. |
