MASSACHUSETTS, COMMONWEALTH OF
NORTHFIELD SCENIC BYWAY CONSTRUCTION ON ROUTE 10/63 (PHASE I) The focus of the Northfield Street Improvement Project is to reconstruct sidewalks on Main Street and Parker Avenue in Northfield from a point north of the intersection with River Street continuing northerly for approximately 1.77 miles, and ending at the intersection with Moody Street. The work also includes improving safety at the Parker Ave. intersection, repairing sidewalks on several adjacent roadways, restoring the town common, enhancing surrounding areas, and addressing traffic and pedestrian safety concerns. The project will incorporate sidewalk and streetscape elements to restore historic town character and continue work initiated under the DEM Town Commons Preservation Project completed in 2000.
