LELAND STANFORD JUNIOR UNIVERSITY, THE


This proposal extends existing activities of the PharmGKB grant, and does not introduce any new aims. We are adding a curator and a student to the task of annotating the known pharmacogenetics knowledge for (1) the top 50 selling drugs in the U.S. and (2) the top 50 drugs causing the most adverse events in the U.S. This will ensure that we cover an appropriate breadth of drugs, and that we can identify both what is known as well as opportunities for new pharmacogenetics research. The curator will work on manual annotation, with assistance from the student who will do text-mining with computer algorithms.
