Eliminating software errors is of continuing critical importance to the economy of the United States, and to the security of its computing infrastructure. At the heart of several technologies for finding and eliminating errors are automated deduction tools, which automatically reason about software using chains of inference composed of many small steps. This project aims to improve the reliability of automated deductions tools by providing mechanisms and techniques for efficiently recording and checking these inference steps. The remaining balance will not be claimed as no other expenses to be incurred. |
