Activity : LED Street Lighting Retrofit;Infrastructure Rationale: This project contributes to several of the purposes of the Recovery Act. It creates jobs in the electrical construction business, which has been severely impacted by the recession. As an investment in advanced LED technology, this project also serves to spur development of technologies that increase economic efficiency. By reducing streetlight energy and maintenance costs to the City, this project also helps to stabilize the local government budget, and represents an infrastructure investment that will benefit the environment and the economy for many years to come.; |
