A budget revision was submitted and approved during the quarter that moved $781,829 FTA ARRA funds from construction to the design line item. This will allow ST to continue drawing down the ARRA funds as we wait for construction to begin in the spring. The revision was approved by FTA in February. Sound Transit anticipates drawing the remaining design funds 2nd quarter 2013.
Construction of the permanent Tukwila Commuter Rail Station will begin spring 2013. An RFP was issued 1/24/13 with Bids due 3/21/13. A contract award is anticipated in May with Notice to Proceed shortly following. |
