Project Title THEORY OF MOTIVIC SHEAVES AND BEYOND
Project Status Completed
Final Project Report Submitted Yes
Project Activities Description Mathematics
Quarterly Activities/Project Description We have been working on the theory of Voevodsky's motives. In particular, we proved that the motivic Albanese functor commutes with the Hodge realization [V1]. In a joint work with Professor Albert Schwarz we proved certain integrality conjectures appearing in the study of the Mirror Symmetry [SV]. We worked on the theory of derived DG functors. In particular, we proved that every DG quasi-functor F : D+ dg(A) D+ dg(B) between derived DG categories such that the functor Ho(F) : D+(A) D+(B) carries D ?0 (A) to D ?0 (B) and such that, for every i > 0, the functor Hi F : A B is effaceable is canonically isomorphic to the right derived DG functor RH0(F) ([V2]). In December of 2009 we gave a lecture presenting our works at the Steklov Mathematical Institute (Russia). In April of 2010 we gave a lecture on our works at the University of British Columbia (Canada). We used the award funds to purchase a laptop computer and a projector (for presentational purposes). The research supported by the award resulted in the following papers. _ [V1] V. Vologodsky, On the derived DG functors, arXiv:1004.1918 (2010). Accepted for pub- lication in Mathematical Research Letters. _ [SV] A. Schwarz, V. Vologodsky, Integrality theorems in the theory of topological strings, Nuclear Physics B, Volume 821, Issue 3 (2009), 506-534. _ [V2] V. Vologodsky, The Albanese functor commutes with the Hodge realization, arXiv:0809.2830 (2008). Submitted to Compositio.
