EMORY UNIVERSITY


The purpose of the funding is to provide employment for on additional resident in an already existing veterinary training program, thus increasing the return on investment from the parent R25 supported program, while offering a new employment opportunity to the resident. This will improve the return on the training program by increasing outputs from three to four veterinarians that have been trained in a highly specialized field, such as nonhuman primate medicine, and are ready to enter the workforce.

Quarterly Activities/Project Description Dr. Coble has completed his second year of residency at the Yerkes National Primate Research Center. In June, Dr. Coble presented his research for the Virtual Grand Rounds for the nonhuman primate training consortium. He took his ACLAM Board Certification test at the end of June and passed, so he is now an ACLAM Diplomate. Dr. Coble has been recruited as a laboratory animal veterinarian at Ohio State University.
