Under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), Wyoming BLM has been tasked with ensuring positional mapping accuracy of records and boundaries in support of renewable energy development. The contactor is providing cadastral data development and field collection services to the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). A process has been designed to collect GPS coordinates that accurately locate corner positions of the Public Land Survey System (PLSS) in support boundary analysis, parcel level mapping, geographic analysis and accurate display of cadastral information. The GPS positions collected under this contract will be the basis of positional enhancement of the BLM’s Geographic Coordinate Data Base (GCDB). Following the positional enhancement from the GPS coordinate data collected in the field, the PLSS data will be converted to a format compatible with Geographic Information Systems being used by the BLM for situation awareness and decision support. The following tasks will be completed as part of this contact:
1) Field collection of GPS observations on 442 PLSS township corners,
2) Incorporation of this more accurate control data via GMM into 302 target and 330 buffer Wyoming individual township data sets,
3) Regional adjustment (GMM), Attribution Quality Assurance (FIXAN), and Topology Quality Assurance (FIXLX) workload, to produce regionally adjusted, seamless GIS coverages for ARRA townships.
