| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
The Project's Design Phase is complete, with Package 1 (Hospital), Package 2 (Early Civil & Site Utilities), Package 2A (Balance of Civil & Site Utilities), Package 3 (Parking Structure), Package 4 (Structure), and Package 5 (Central Utility Plant) all Issued For Construction. Site Utilities (storm drain, domestic water, fire water, sewer, and reclaimed water) along with underground communication lines are nearly complete. Base course paving is around 90 percent complete with all but one parking lot paved. Landscaping along the East Ring Road slope is underway with irrigation underway. Concrete and masonry site walls are nearing completion around all 67 acres. Construction of the above ground water tank structure has begun, with shoring, waterproofing, and concrete wall formwork complete. Exterior facade systems (waterproofing, curtain wall, ribbon windows, stone, terra cotta) are nearing completion on all elevations, with scaffold dismantle complete in September. Roofing activities have begun, with the West and East penthouse roofs 75 percent complete. Masonry, structural steel and metal decking are complete at the Central Utility Plant (C.U.P.); CUP mechanical and electrical equipment installation currently underway. Interior framing and second side drywall are in progress on all four levels of the hospital. Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) overhead systems, along with overhead seismic support is complete on all levels. MEP in-wall is rapidly progressing, with levels 1 and 2 at 95 percent and levels 3 and 4 at 80 percent. Patient and Med/Surgical mock-up rooms are 100 percent complete with the operating room nearing completion. The Parking Structure is 99 percent complete with only minor punch list item remaining. The project team is close to finalizing the commissioning schedule and sequence of operations, with early stages of pre-testing and commissioning preparation underway. |
