WEST VIRGINIA HOUSING DEVELOPMENT FUND


The Tax Credit Assistance Program (TCAP) will fill financing gaps caused by the reduction of equity investment in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. TCAP will provide gap financing for the construction or rehabilitation of affordable housing properties affected by the deteriorating housing market. The Recovery Act requires housing credit agencies to distribute TCAP funds competitively, in accordance with the Agency's Qualified Allocation Plan. This Plan can be found at www.wvhdf.com/developers/tcap.cfm. Properties awarded low income housing tax credits in fiscal years 2007, 2008, or 2009 are eligible for funding, but the housing credit agency must give priority to those properties expected to be completed by February 2012.
