ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY AFFAIRS, ALABAMA DEPARTMENT OF


The Community Services Block Grant American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (Recovery Act) funds will be used to provide services to low-income individuals and families to assist in removing obstacles and solving problems that impede the achievement of self-suffiency. Some of the services to be provided include assistance with securing and maintaining meaningful employment, making better use of available income, obtaining and maintaining adequate houseing, emergency assistance, and encouring greater participation int he community. The main focus will be on activities that will assist in creating and maintaining employment and stimulating growth in the economy.
