This is a Federal Fiscal Year 2009 Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) stimulus grant under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009. It provides a source of financing for the construction of water treatment facilities and associated infrastructure, green infrastructure, program administration and technical assistance activities. The primary purpose of the stimulus grant through the DWSRF are to: preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery through the investment in infrastructure projects that will improve water quality and will provide long-term economic benefits.

Quarterly Activities/Project Description To boost the economy of the State by providing jobs while investing in infrastructure and providing long term economic and environmental benefits. To preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery. To assist those most impacterd by the recession. To invest in environmental protection, and other infrastructure that will provide long-term economic benefits. To stabilize State and Local government budgets, in order to minimize and avoid reductions in essential service and counterproductive state and local tax increases. Twenty-five (25) projects have been funded including eight (8) that all or a portion of the project meet the green requirements. At this time 100% of the ARRA funds have been drawn and disursed and all twenty-five (25) projects are complete and final.
