Alaska Retrofit Information System developed an SQL database with web-based user interfaces to allow for data collection, reporting & analysis
Alaska Housing Finance Corporation Technical Advisory Committee provided professional advice & consultation to develop & implement energy-related policies & programs
The Sustainable Northern Communities addressed energy efficiency throughout rural Alaska
Building Energy Efficiency Standards: Completed a merger of amendments for commercial & residential codes
FUMM (Fuel Use Monitoring Methods) for residential oil heating appliances
Institute of Social & Economic Research University of Alaska: This contract is completed
Alaska Energy Authority (AEA): 97 cities were awarded funds. Work items - replace street lights, windows, doors & boilers. 66 energy audits were done; AEA contracted with a 3rd party web manager for continuation of the work with a new fund source. Contracts closed 8/30/12
Alaska Building Science Network completed weatherization, lighting & mechanical energy audits with upgrades in 35 rural communities. Work items included interior/exterior lighting & upgrades for heating & ventilation, boilers & hot water storage tanks
University of Alaska - AK Center for Energy & Power: Developed K-12 & post-secondary energy efficiency curricula & provided energy efficiency training to teachers
AVTEC - Weatherization training was integrated into an Energy & Building Trades program. High-efficiency boilers, stoves & hot water heaters were used as training models. 8 students completed a 10-month course; 11 students in a 5-month course graduated with certificates
The final drawdown of funds were requested on January 29, 2013. $406,685.30 is to be de-obligated.
