The tasks associated with the Cancer Knowledge Cloud initiative continues to progress. Under this initiative, there are four major tasks: Cancer Knowledge Cloud (CKC), Cancer Clinical Information Suite (caCIS), TCGA Sequence Read Archive (SRA) and Data Coordinating Center (DCC). The preparation for closing CKC and caCIS projects is underway. As of the end of Feburary, 21 out of 47 projects were completed. For the period of last three months, eight technical project managers managed 26 projects under the CKC. The major projects included but not limited to system developments and implementations; user support and updates; contents creation and support; and quality assurance and documentation. The cancer Clinical Information Suite (caCIS) project released QA Milestone Release 5. All of the projects have met their milestones without major issues.
The long term contract for the TCGA-Sequence Read Archive(SRA) has been put into place with UCSC through FY2014. Secondary backup established at ATRF and all the data shipped and inventory list verified. The second Beta releases for CGHub Browser will be released for the user community in March for testing. For the Data Coordinating Center there is the risk of not meeting Beta and Production milestones. Modified statement of work has been reviewed and completed with the program office.
