| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
The project continued with remediation of the Very Difficult Waste and continued to support CCPs characterization efforts. Transuranic (TRU) waste processing during the quarter included H-Canyon remediating 4 LSBs and 1 concrete box into 37 SWBs and 11 SLB2s. CH TRU Waste shipments totaling 113.9 m3 were made consisting of 19 SLBs, 66 drums and 3 SWBs. E-Area continued preparing Very Difficult Waste containers for the various remediation facilities and continued to support CCP efforts to certify waste for shipment. An additional approximately 5 m3 of legacy TRU waste was disposed of as Low Level waste. The project continued with planning efforts for all remaining Very Difficult Waste streams to include casks of silver saddles. |

SRNS has included both prime contractor and first-tier subcontractor full-time equivalent calculations in the Number of Jobs being reported for this reporting period.
Prime Contractor (SRNS) Jobs – At the initiation of the ARRA project, prime contractor jobs were retained as accelerated area completion (clean-up) and waste management work scope was funded to the ARRA Project. Since that time, additional SRNS workers have been added to the ARRA project to meet job performance requirements. The Prime Contractor portion in our Number of Jobs reported specific to this project during this reporting period, represents 53.2 FTE’s
First-tier Subcontractor Jobs - SRNS employed a strategy to support its directly employed workforce through first-tier subcontractors who are used to augment the SRNS workforce. Additionally, fixed-price first-tier subcontracts have been awarded that further increased the number of ARRA jobs at SRS. The first-tier subcontractor portion in our Number of Jobs reported specific to this project during this reporting period, represents 6.6 FTEs.
