Contracts - AWARD SUMMARY
GRAYCOR CONSTRUCTION COMPANY INC.
The main objective of the project is to provide a controlled high quality indoor environment that is acceptable to the occupants using the space while increasing the energy efficiency of the building. For this project the issues that will be addressed include: Space temperature controllability, abandoning the 1931 steam piping and radiators, improving boiler efficiency, ventilation, and indoor air quality improvements. All existing VAV (variable Air Volume) boxes will be replaced with new VAV's with heating hot water coils and new digital controls, a new hot water system will be provided to provide heating for the perimeter and the inner core VAV boxes. Two new hot water boilers will be provided and one of the existing steam boilers will be converted to hot water.
