The purpose of this project is to reduce the energy consumption and power demand at Ft. Lee by replacing existing inefficient fluorescent lighting system components with more efficient components and systems. The work will be performed at Ft. Lee, VA for 67 buildings. There are various buildings which include administrative, training and community service. Work elements include the replacement of existing T12 ballasts for interior lighting fixtures with new more efficient T8 fluorescent, universal voltage, solid-state electronic, instant start, normal light output ballasts. All T12 lamps will be replaced with instant start T8 fluorescent lamps with 3500 *K phosphor. A modifcation issued by the COE on 8/16/10 reduced the scope of the project by 10 buildings and $167,596.21
