CINCINNATI ENERGY ALLIANCE, INC.
EECBG ? Better Buildings Program - The Greater Cincinnati Energy Alliance?s (GCEA) mission is to facilitate investment in energy efficiency for homeowners, non-profit organizations, and commercial building owners through outreach and education, project management, and financing solutions. GCEA?s proposal will address critical components core to the alliance?s mission statement through the following points which will result in the respective impact. These objectives as well as the expected outcomes are as follows:
? Enhance the existing model of community collaboration, multi-state and local government cooperation, energy efficiency program design innovation, marketing effectiveness, utility program integration, financing affordability and accessibility, and extensive customer participation; share and adapt this model with other communities and state energy offices;
? Provide comprehensive energy efficiency services, including community education, audits, retrofits, incentives, financing, and quality assurance throughout the Greater Cincinnati region;
? Create a sustainable energy efficiency market with significant investments in energy efficiency within 3 years that significantly leverage received funds;
? Develop a high quality work force through training and certification of contractors/workers through the Efficiency Excellence Institute in order to create and retain jobs
? Utilize a range of existing and innovative incentives, marketing strategies, delivery agents and financial instruments to make energy efficiency projects affordable to customers in all sectors;
? Achieve program self-reliance in 2013.

| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
1. The Energy Alliance (EA) continued to work with our home performance contractors to enhance their business skills and commitment to the home performance model. The efforts in the 2nd QTR were highlighted by a residential program annual meeting. These measures have increased program effectiveness and reduced costs for contractors? bottom lines.
2. Cincinnati State Workforce Development Center continued its workforce development program to train industry professionals. The Energy Alliance has rolled out our Tuition Assistance Program for contractors.
3. EA continued on-going collaboration with Duke Energy, including presenting the EA market study at Duke?s 2nd QTR Ohio stakeholder collaborative.
4. The EA and CDF launched a Commercial loan product and secured investment from two national foundations. The fund was recognized with a national award and local press.
5. EA continued outreach events to promote community awareness and drive assessment uptake, continued to develop brand and customer-focused content, and was highlighted in local press.
6. EA continued to focus its efforts on database construction and analysis.
7. EA received letters of commitment from area NPO and schools with a number of projects started.
8. EA reviewed its organizational procedures and measures to enhance its quality of contractor and customer service.
9. EA has continued to utilize the PSD IT Tool to enhance the organization?s effectiveness.
10. EA performed analysis on residential customer behavior and the barriers for GC-HELP loan uptake.
11. The organization transitioned its operations for the ending of Kentucky Home Performance program, which had provided services for those EA customers in the counties.
12. EA successfully completed its organizational audit. The EA began a DOE audit performed by KPMG in the 3Q 2012.
13. EA engaged a firm to assist in the completion of a program EMV. EA expects to have this work completed in the 4th QTR of 2012.

Additionally, GCEA is a sub-grantee of EECBG Funding from our local government partners for whom we are funding residential audits and retrofits and Non-Profit retrofits. The local government funders report the contractors job creation hours through the delivery of residential and non-profit retrofits in their EECBG reporting; for this quarter, EECBG Hamilton recorded 1.5 FTEs. |
