| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
The grant came under budget because the following reasons; weather delayed the start-up of the program in most of the regions, individuals did not want to move where the job opportunities were located, lack of partners, farmers were not willing to increase salary to the ag-upgrades, ineligibles individuals and individuals could not stop migrating. As June 30 2012 New Jersey - enrolled 39 participants and provided assessment, Job Readiness Training (JRT), Occupational Skill Training (OST), and On-the-Job Training (OJT) and placed 31 participants. Ohio - enrolled 123 participants, providing assessment, English as A Second Language (ESL), JRT and OJT and placed 45 participants. New York - enrolled 29 participants, providing assessment, ESL, JRT and OST and placed 15 participants. Pennsylvania - enrolled 71 participants, providing assessment, JRT and OJT and placed 12 participants. Puerto Rico - enrolled 71 and providing assessment, GED, JRT and OST and placed 16 participant. A total or 333 outreach, 210 participants trained and 119 participant placed. |
