LEWIN GROUP, INC., THE
In collaboration with other contractors and staff in HITRC, Lewin will support the RECs in their outreach and marketing of the adoption of EHRs by PHCPs. Lewin has responsibility for identifying the most recent information on marketing HIT adoption in public and private sectors for adaption and synthesis with data and information collected through HITRC's CRM and CoPs facilitated by a KSN supported under other task orders. Lewin will customize marketing and outreach tools for REC presentations on HIT adoption to PHCPs. In collaboration with ONC's Office of Communication, Lewin will develop reports and releases which reflect the progress and success of RECs in enrolling PHCPs for EHR adoption. Lewin will also serve as the expert facilitator supporting the marketing and outreach CoP and its membership from the National Learning Consortium that includes RECs and educational institutions developing HIT programs expanding the HIT workforce. The key deliverables resulting from this contract shall be:
* Marketing and outreach plans to promote HIT RECs and their services
* Tools which incorporate marketing, sales and project data to understand overall marketing effectiveness
* Support to HITRC staff for identifying and researching potential marketing partners and researching opportunities for presentations and participation in events that reach our target market
* Media relations materials such as Q's and A's, talking points, journal commentaries, press releases and media pitches including, scripts for videos and video news releases, audio news releases, audio and video pod casts
* Development of scripts to support local sales and outreach efforts for videos and video news releases, audio news releases, and pod casts
* Development of a system that enables the development of custom slide presentations for HIT that integrates local examples and center specific information as needed b regional office staff, HITRC staff and other ONC staff
* Marketing planning, sales management, and collateral material development expertise that supports a Marketing/Outreach CoP
* Conduct training with RECs on effective presentation methods and salesmanship theories in consultation with other HITRC contractors supporting conferencing and training

| Quarterly Activities/Project Description |
During the first quarter of 2013, The Lewin Team provided support to the RECs in their outreach and marketing efforts according to the Year Three Education and Outreach work plan. Lewin conducted five bi-weekly meetings and one Year 4 strategic planning session and produced meeting minutes for each meeting. Lewin facilitated two meetings of the E&O Community of Practice Advisory Group and two meetings of the E&O CoP. During the January 24th E&O CoP meeting, Lewin offered the ?Strategic Planning for Sustainability? training session. Lewin developed one communications template in the first quarter of 2013.. Lewin developed the HIMSS 2013 Correspondence Toolkit, to help RECs leverage social media opportunities around HIMSS 2013, and the HIMSS 2013 Media Wrap-Up Report that details Lewin?s work around HIMSS 2013. The report includes a summary of results and offers recommendations for HIMSS 2014. Lewin continued to develop and implement, , a targeted media outreach program that utilizes highly targeted media relations approaches to publicize RECs and their role as trusted advisors. Lewin supported RECs in their efforts to engage and interview with media. Lewin continues to track successful education and outreach efforts of the RECs and published three Bright Spots vignettes during the first quarter of 2013. In addition, Lewin began drafting the Year 3 Annual Report. During this quarter, Lewin also coordinated with ONC to design and implement a mechanism to enhance MUVer profiles in the Customer Relationship Management system and link the HealthIT.gov ?Tell Your Story? functionality to CRM profiles. Lewin worked closely with ONC and AHRQ throughout Q1 of 2013 to plan for Year 4, which begins April 1, 2013 and developed the Year 4 Strategic Plan. ONC approved the plan on March 26th. |
