Quarterly Activities/Project Description Expenditures:Primary expenditures were related to the costs of the gallery space and operational costs: Activities for persons with disabilities included the following:April through June 2012: Alley Cat Artists was able to retain renowned photographer Alison Wright to present both her work and speak. The program itself saw an attendance of approximately 175 at the speaking engagement and 350 individuals attended the opening at the gallery. Anecdotally, her story and her work have made a significant impact on this community, which she tells the story of her professional development as a photographer and recovery accident that nearly cost her life. Feedback was that Alison?s story inspired many people.Exhibitions:April: Tacoma, Naturally, a group exhibition planned by previous Program Manager. Eight participating artists. Attendance of 120 at the opening. May:Alison Wright Portraits exhibition by National Geographic photographer. June: Central Washington University Student and Alumni Exhibition. 25 participating artists. Attendance of 120 at opening. Open WorkshopsFacilitator: Every Wednesday, 6 to 8pm, ongoing Fee: FREE The Story of Flowers: Acrylic Dates/Time: Every Tuesday, April 10th through May 15th, 6 to 8pm Fee: materials fee per individual class of six classes. Results: Three students attended regularly. Soul JournalingInstructor: Robin MayberryDate / Time: Sunday, April 15th, 10am to 3pm Fee: materials plusScholarships are available.Class limit: 10 Level: Beginner to advanced.Results: Ten attendeesLevel: Beginner to advanced. Results: Seven attendees Cézanne?s Apples: Painting the Still Life in OilInstructor: Joanna ThomasDates / Time: Every Wednesday, April 18th through May 16th, 2 to 5pm- five classes, materials included.Scholarships are available.Class limit:8 Level: Beginner to advanced.
