Apprenticeship Program. This quarter four Step-3 learning modules were added and four Step-2 modules were updated on the Angel LMS web site. Twelve Step-4 instructional documents were also obtained from Alliant. Softchalk software update should greatly increase the speed modules can be produced. Fifteen WiFi iPads with cases and insurance were also purchased then initialized for use. During the next quarter, expectations are that module use will greatly increase. The instructional designer is going to meet with the current apprenticeship group in late April to discuss any problems, get feedback and introduce the new module sets. A new influx of students into the Alliant program to use the online modules is expected in June.
UT Diploma Program. We have 12 students continuing to take courses in the diploma program from January to March who are on track to graduate in May 2013. 2 students have dropped the program because they had job offers. A Certified Driver?s License elective course started for the students in March. Starting in January Utility Tech. students have heavily used MEA EnergyU online modules in two tracks: Gas and Electrical. The current 13 community college students in the Utility Tech. program are expected to graduate in May.
Marketing. In early March staff met to plan out marketing for the upcoming year. This group included MCC Dean of Students, MCC Associate Dean of Enrollment Svcs, and Marketing Staff. Discussions included past experiences with marketing venues such as television, radio, newspaper ads, etc. Moving forward Marketing Staff will plan and implement marketing for the MCC Diploma program. This will include TV, newspaper, radio, etc.
