ARRA-Equipment to Enhance Training for Health Professional, Health Careers Opportunities Program,HCOP UMET Project Equipment will enhance training activities for educationally and/or disadvantaged students enrolled in the Associate and Baccalaureate Programs in Respiratory Therapy at Universidad Metropolitana in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The broader impact of this project will include a training program using "train the trainer" methodology to train faculty as technology mentors to train the entire Respiratory Faculty; updating of the syllabi to reflect the impact of the new equipment and a careful evaluation of the impact of the equipment to maximize its use as an educational tool that increases skills, patient care and outcomes.
