BLEDSOE TELEPHONE COOPERATIVE CORPORATION
This project will provide high speed broadband service to all end users in the Nine Mile and College Station PFSAS of Bledsoe Telephone Cooperative. The project will shorten existing copper cable and add fiber cable in the two exchange areas to lengths which will allow end users to experience broadband service at speeds of up to 15 Mbps and to enjoy the same economic, educational, and social opportunities that broadband has afforded subscribers in neighboring communities.

1) To preserve and create jobs and promote economic recovery. Funding provided by this award is expected to create a number of jobs both internal to BTC and through its heavy dependence on outside contractor forces. 2) To assist those most impacted by the recession. Upon completion of this project, high speed broadband internet and subscriber video, will be available to all homes and businesses in the greater BTC serving area. The availability of high speed broadband facilities will serve as an encouragement to organizations to provide much needed services. |
