Quarterly Activities/Project Description The purpose of this project is to renovate the Multi-User Animal Research Facility (MARF) and other research areas in Gittleson Hall, which houses the Biology Department at Hofstra University. All construction is complete except for the installation of a second greenhouse, on which work began March 29, 2013. The laboratories in the MARF are reoccupied and research is now underway in the renovated facilities. Preliminary results have already generated five conference presentations and three publications in preparation or to appear.
