HARVARD PILGRIM HEALTH CARE INC
This project, the Population-Based Effectiveness in Asthma and Lung Diseases (PEAL) Network, will create a new infrastructure to accelerate comparative effectiveness research in asthma and other lung diseases in diverse populations. The network will include a large Medicaid population and four health maintenance organizations and will create highly detailed, standardized, linked computerized datasets. The project's initial studies will address key clinical and policy questions in asthma. The PEAL Network will lay critical foundation for ongoing population-based research in asthma and lung diseases, and research with priority populations.
