SOUTHEASTERN REGIONAL TRANSIT AUTHORITY
1. The Authority I replacing the HVAC systems at the Fall River and New Bedford maintenance facilities. The current HVACs were over 30 years old. And very inefficient, unreliable and require constant repair. The new system will lower operating costs and reduce the carbon footprint of SRTA. When completed the job will have utilized $305,000 in ARRA funding. 2. the Authority upgraded the existing TRAPEZE hardware and software with a newer version. The new software is used to operate ADA Demand Response Service. The new system will allow us a better utilization new software capabilities and improve the efficiency of operating . It will utilize $32,000 of ARRA funding. 3 - The Authority replaced six Demand Response Vehicles. These vans replaced 2 1999 Aerotech abd 4 2000 Aerotech vehicles that have reached the end of their useful life. The vehicles were purchased with $360,000 of ARRA funding. 4. Purchase of 4 29 FT Fixed Route. Deisel Vehicle using $313,430 in funds..4. The Authority has placed an order for 4 additional 29 ft buses that shoukld be delivered in the Spring of 2011. The Authority received delivery of 12 29 ft diesel buses in December and replaced a like number of 1995 buses that outlived their useful life.
