In our original grant application and request we had items under the old Sheriff. However, during the grant cycle the old Sheriff retired and a new Sheriff was elected and the direction of the department changed as well as our needs. We sought out the following equipment under the new Sheriff with a budge and scope change. Rifles with scopes, 40 mm gas grenage launchers, new headsets for dispatch, supplemental lighting for communications in the absence of power, and a storage travel trailer to transport or utlitiy vehicles when needed for drug interdiction, search and rescue and other law enforcement activities.
