Quarterly Activities/Project Description The purpose of this grant was to provide a COLA increase of 1.84% for Head Start and Early Head Start staff, and also to provide Quality Improvemnt for staff benefits. The staff did receive a COLA increase of 1.84% and the rest of the grant dollars was used to pay for the staff's share of their health care insurance for four months. The staff was paying 25% of this cost which was $193/mo for single coverage, $408/mo for two people and $608/mo for family. Many on the staff had family covergae, so this was very beneficial to all of them.
