The objective of the ARRA administrative supplement is to support Dr. Doubeni's accelerated career development program in key scientific areas that will position him to become an independently funded researcher. The supplement supports studies on cancer screening comparative effectiveness research (CER). The key objectives are to: 1) Accelerate training and experience in comparative effectiveness research on colorectal cancer screening; 2) Gain additional experience in the design and implementation of complex case-control and case-cohort studies on the efficacy of colonoscopy under the guidance of nationally renowned experts; 3) Enhance the ability to study race and socioeconomic disparities in CRC prevention through the application of latent variables techniques, longitudinal multilevel modeling and geospatial analyses.
