INTACT TECHNOLOGY, INC.
The Social Security Administration?s (SSA?s) National Computer Center data center in Baltimore is reaching its operational end of life. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act provided funding to replace the National Computer Center (NCC) and the agency selected a site in Frederick County, Maryland for its new National Support Center (NSC). The Contractor shall provide SSA with the software licenses, maintenance, training, project/technical management and expertise required to implement and manage a comprehensive Configuration Management System. This system will assist in the data center transformation activities by providing project managers better tools to plan and manage activities and corresponding risks to ensure continuous IT operations. The objective of this contract is to utilize ITIL business practices by implementing a comprehensive Configuration Management System (CMS) that will support the agency in transitioning to the NSC. The capabilities expected from the CMS system are seen as the following: determine the current existing IT infrastructure and related dependent business services, develop a desired future state of IT and the services that it needs to provide, architect a ?roadmap? that depicts how to get to the desired state from the current state, determine the steps needed to execute the ?roadmap?, report the effects of executing the ?roadmap?. SSA?s goal is to provide a federated, authoritative data repository for the raised floor datacenters in the NCC and SSC. This ?architecture-based? CMS system will assist in the management of the datacenter transformation activities planned in conjunction with the move to the NSC starting in 2015.
