DIET Online Release Process Analysis:The objective of this work order was to evaluate the existing end-to-end software release process and recommend changes to the existing processes or the use of COTS tools to improve the management, tracking and integrity of software released across each life cycle, spanning multiple sysplexes. Architecture Based IT Configuration Management: objective of this task is to implement a Configuration Management System (CMS) that will provide an accurate, detailed, and up-to-date IT architecture view of the hardware, software, and connectivity for use in the planning and executing of the migration of the inner core infrastructure from the National Computer Center (NCC) to the National Support Center (NSC) location. NSC Infrastructure and SAN Design: Research, design, test, configure and plan for the new National Support Center (NSC) Infrastructure and Storage Area Network (SAN) design. Windows Server & Virtualization Configuration Support: Collaborate with technical staff to design, configure, and maintain hardware and software associated with an enterprise-wide implementation of virtualization technology; to build, configure, and support hardware and software related to the VMware and Hyper-V virtualization solutions at the Social Security Administration (SSA). Data Center Migration: Services for planning and execution in order to migrate all production data center operations from the National Computer Center (NCC) to the National Support Center (NSC). Storage & Backup Virtual: Study of possible E-vaulting of data to replace legacy tape backup systems. Data Center Transition: Support based on the consolidation of operations and labs to reduce overall foot print of what is left behind at the NCC.
