UNIVERSITY OF ROCHESTER
This project would entail expanding the current 12-color panels we have in two ways: 1) to create new 12-color panels that in addition to 6-8 anchor markers that recognize the main populations also incorporate markers of activation, inhibition/exhaustion, survival, proliferation and migration as well as cytokine secretion; 2) Increase the number of markers that can be used in a single panel so that simultaneous characterization can be performed for a combination of the properties described before. In addition, this effort would also address the critical obstacle of identifying and isolating antigen-specific autoreactive B cells (of course, all these advances will be also applicable to vaccine research).
