SMITHSONIAN INSTITUTION
REU Program in Solar Physics. The students' main activity is carrying out individual research projects in Solar Physics under the supervision of CFA staff scientist for ten weeks during the summer. Most of the projects involve the analysis of data from space missions that the CFA solar groups are actively involved in, such as SoHO, TRACE. Hinode and SDO. Our target group is undergraduates in Astronomy, Physics, Mathematics, Earth Sciences and Computer Sciences.We will start off the program with REU students in the first year and expand two students per year.
