FAMILY HEALTH CENTER OF WORCESTER, INC.
The purpose of this Capital Improvement Grant award is to expand access to needed primary health care services specifically by creating better efficiencies and productivity through renovations and updating equipment. All funds will be expended as of June 30, 2011, the detail of the expenditures are explained in the Quarterly Activities portion of this report. The total amount of CIP funds expended through quarter ending June 30,2011 was $1,002,885.
The new walk-clinic is now being utilized and from the time frame of Oct 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 the Health Center saw 2376 new patients and 805 new uninsured patients representing 3,977 visits.

During the second quarter of 2011 the Health Center expended funds of $9,741.37 torwards the remaining architechtural & engineering, $2,600.35 torwards construction, $47,051 for the installation of the dental compressor, $81,000 for the purchase of a chemistry analyzer, 33,750 for a lab immunoassay analyzer and $13,045 torwards the remaining IT communication project.

Family Health has retained a .2 fte management and support staff to coordinate and manage the CIP project. We have maintained a .2 fte IT staff to handle the additional technical oversight and a .2 IT staff as technical administrator. Total FTEs for the quarter amounted to .60. This number of FTE matches the HRSA electronic handbook.
