Update
DDOE's proposal to expend the remainder of SEP/ ARRA funds within the "Education and Outreach" market title has been submitted and we are waiting for final approval. These proposed programs will focus on energy consumption and reduction within the schools system

Update
February-
The State Energy Program/American Recovery Reinvestment Act (?SEP/ARRA?) grant ended programmatic activity on September 6, 2012. All remaining funds were to be used for administrative and ?close out? purposes. However, due to hurricane Sandy, Washington DC was deemed a Federal Disaster area and the United States Department of Energy (?USDOE?) has authorized DDOE to re-open and spend SEP ARRA funds on previously established market titles.
We are currently working on a program centered around educating school age students about renewables and disaster preparedness. The total budget has not yet been determined. |
