Quarterly Activities/Project Description Outreach activities supported by this grant that began in 2011 continued to progress in the current quarter. Four students from Auburn High School worked with Dr. Hames for geology instruction, with emphasis to geochronology in current NSF-supported research at Auburn University. In the current reporting quarter, two research papers were presented (at the spring meeting of the southeastern section of the Geological Society of America) with an Auburn High School student and an Auburn University undergraduate student as co-authors.
