PREPARE THE DESIGN OF BUILDING 694 INTERIOR REPAIR, TO BE USED BY THE GOVERNMENT TO SOLICIT AND AWARD A COMPETITIVE CONTRACT. - The AE shall perform all labor, materials, and equipment required to perform the design and preparation of contract documents for the Governments public competitive solicitation and contract award for the Interior Repair and Renovations at Building 694 Fort Devens, Reserve Forces Training Area, Devens Massachusetts. Building 694 was constructed as a Dining Facility with attached steam plant. It was later converted to a USAR Operations Building (CATCD 17140). The primary use is administrative space and heated storage of equipment. The AE shall provide design for a full facility revitalization. The interior of the facility shall be modified to provide General Instruction student classrooms for 80, 32 and 16 student capacity modules. Repair and or modernization of existing building systems including electrical power, lighting, network, plumbing, HVAC, and fire protection shall be designed. Force protection measures shall be included.
