Quarterly Activities/Project Description Develop a youth conservation corps program in cooperation with the Fish and Wildlife Service to expose young men and women to public service while furthering their understanding and appreciation of the Nation's natural and cultural resources. To recruit and hire youth and young adults, ensuring that the applicant pool represents a good diversity of the young people in the area's communities. To ensure that corps members have opportunities for training in resource conservation and vocational skills including occupational safety. To allow corps members to participate in environmental education programs developed by the FWS, and to provide supervision, transportation, tools, and other support for the crews.
