Grants - AWARD SUMMARY

WORCESTER POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE

The aim of this work is to analyze dust ignition and dust deflagrations using laboratory based bench scale tests. Ultimately, this will help in quantifying the fire and explosion hazard in facilities that process and handle fine particulates. Some examples are coal, paper, wood, sugar, grain, plastic, and pharmaceutical dusts.
